Hunan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (CIQ Hunan) is an establishment directly under General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and entrusted to the responsibilities of frontier sanitary quarantine, animal and plant quarantine and import & export commodity inspection and supervision. It has nine sub-bureaus (Changsha Bureau, Huaihua Bureau, Hengyang Bureau, Yueyang Bureau, Changde Bureau, Chenzhou Bureau, Zhuzhou Bureau, Xiangxi Bureau and Shaoshan Bureau), six offices (Changsha Airport Office, Zhangjiajie Airport Office, Liuyang Office, Xianing Riverport Office, Liling Office and Yongzhou Office) and four institutions (Technology Center, International Traveling Health Center, Logistics Center and Certification Audit Center).
　　CIQ Hunan has five national key laboratories (Food Safety Lab, Ceramics Lab, Fireworks Lab, Hybrid Rice Seeds Lab and Swine Contagious Diseases Lab), National Fireworks Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, Hunan Provincial Engineering Research Center for Fireworks and Key Laboratory of Food Safety Science and Technology. Testing capacities of National key laboratories from CIQ Hunan have reached world first-class level and have provided strong support for administrative enforcement and industry development.
　　In recent years, under the correct leadership of AQSIQ and the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Government, CIQ Hunan has unswervingly taken the quality and effectiveness as the central task, striven to control quality, guarantee safety, promote development and strengthen its own capacities in the spirit of reform and innovation, thus greatly improves the performance of its responsibility and enhances the service effectiveness for local development. CIQ Hunan has played and will continue to play a more and more important role in achieving Hunan Development Strategy (industrialization，agricultural modernization，new-type urbanization and informatization and construction of resource-saving and environment-friendly society) and promoting the development of local open-up economy.
